"I have come to know Miki well over the past years. Miki spoke eloquently and extemporaneously about his family's story to a very prestigious audience. It was a packed house, and he handled questions from the floor with great skill. He is a sure-footed public speaker with an engaging personality. Miki's mastery of his family's story is very clear to the audience. He is an excellent speaker in every way."
Jan A. Reeves, Director, Idaho Office for Refugees
“Miki has an amazing story to tell and he does it with humor and insight. At a recent media event in Boise where I shared the stage with Miki, his presence was so engaging and his story so enthralling that I spent most of our time together just listening in awe.”
Sara Giustini, Project Manager, Last Days in Vietnam
"Miki has been a great asset to our project as we screen the Academy Award ® nominated documentary Last Days in Vietnam for audiences across the country. Miki is a thoughtful and compassionate speaker, who actively listens and responds to his audience, whether that setting is a luncheon for VIPs or a large theater of diverse community members. He is empathetic, charismatic and a pleasure to work with.
"Miki Nguyen was a guest speaker in my US History class at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo Washington in the spring of 2014. Standing in front of a group of 17 year old was not an easy assignment but Miki captivated their attention right off the bat. He was an enthusiastic and charismatic speaker. He asked questions and related his story to situations a teenager could connect to. His personal story is one of family unity, bravery and survival and one that people of all ages should hear!"
- Shelley Eirich, High School teacher, Kamiak High School.
"Working with Miki around Last Days in Vietnam has been a real pleasure. His presence at our events has helped elevate the program and stations mission. Miki has spoken to crowds that have ranged from 20 people to 700 people; each time he has kept audience members interested, enthralled, and captivated with his words. He speaks with truth, passion and energy. He is personable, engaging and eager to engage with viewers who have a personal connection with the story or who are eager to know more about this special piece of American and World History."
- Vicki Ferguson, Marketing Manager, KCTS 9 Public Broadcast in Seattle
"Miki is an experienced speaker and is relateable to his audience communicating effectively across generations which is important when discussing historical events in a way that can bring people of different ages together. His passion for speaking is infectious and I really like him."

"Miki is an engaging speaker with a gift for weaving his personal stories through the fabric of history, bringing a unique perspective that is memorable for audiences of all ages. He has an ability to draw his listeners in, and then open a window to a time, a place and a people that many of us know very little about. His messages of dedication to family and country, courage and bravery – told with a light sense of humor in even the darkest of situations – cross over all cultural, political and social boundaries."
